All design and on site details are discussed and agreed between the client and founder Jason Macleod personally. You are dealing with the proprietor directly from concept to completion. Part of our service also includes fitting, where our highly skilled Joiners can fit your new hardwood door or windows with the same degree of craftsmanship as when they were constructed.
Our workshop is located in Earls Barton on the outskirts of Northampton in Northamptonshire where our highly skilled craftsmen are fully committed to each and every project.
Formed by Jason Macleod MIOC LICG, a Master Joiner with over 25 years
experience working on heritage projects throughout Europe and America.
Jason also spent time lecturing Carpentry and Joinery at Moulton College Northamptonshire.
The Joinery Shop are recognized by various conservation organizations for the production of
Period Joinery for listed buildings.
In 2003 the government brought in new regulations to govern the fitting and
replacement of doors and windows which is all covered in Part L of the building
regulations, this does not apply to listed buildings.
Jason decided that with the high levels of craftsmanship and the years of experience
that our highly skilled team has at The Joinery Shop he could design windows that met the
Part-L regulations but also did not detract from the look of the property.
