Our clients do not talk to a salesman.

All design and on site details are discussed and agreed between the client and founder Jason Macleod personally. You are dealing with the proprietor directly from concept to completion. Part of our service also includes fitting, where our highly skilled Joiners can fit your new hardwood door or windows with the same degree of craftsmanship as when they were constructed.

Our workshop is located in Earls Barton on the outskirts of Northampton in Northamptonshire where our highly skilled craftsmen are fully committed to each and every project.

The team never forgets that your satisfaction and the reputation of The Joinery Shop are literally in their hands.

What makes us tick ?

Formed by Jason Macleod MIOC LICG, a Master Joiner with over 25 years experience working on heritage projects throughout Europe and America. Jason also spent time lecturing Carpentry and Joinery at Moulton College Northamptonshire.

The Joinery Shop are recognized by various conservation organizations for the production of Period Joinery for listed buildings.

In 2003 the government brought in new regulations to govern the fitting and replacement of doors and windows which is all covered in Part L of the building regulations, this does not apply to listed buildings.

Jason decided that with the high levels of craftsmanship and the years of experience that our highly skilled team has at The Joinery Shop he could design windows that met the Part-L regulations but also did not detract from the look of the property.

Why are we different ?

At The Joinery Shop we pride ourselves with being able to produce hardwood windows and hardwood doors to suit any period, listed or modern property. Using skills and methods, which have passed the test of time and incorporating new energy values and security we offer true quality.

We’re proud not only of our unique service and high level of craftsmanship, but we also source only the finest sustainable timber and materials for our projects, weather its Sapelle Mahogany, European Oak or other similar hardwoods.

Our highly skilled craftsmen can match any window or door set we can also matching mouldings, skirting boards and architraves making an exact replica of the original or something completely individual.

Whether restoring a rural stone cottage, the most ornate town house or your new build project we can supply the right choice of hardwood windows, hardwood doors, stairs, and skirting boards or built in furniture and so conserve and enhance the character of your property.

Traditional Skills and Service ?

Unlike others, The Joinery Shop period joinery works to create exactly what you want rather than telling you, what you must have. You get a hand crafted custom product created especially for you and not something prefabricated on a production line. This way you get a design that meets your own specifications that complements individual and architectural details so you can rest assured your property will be exclusive and unique.
